FIELDS, James D. age 29 of Lansing, died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 in Okemos. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Watkins Brothers Funeral home, Laingsburg Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gerald Sever officiating. Family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.

 James was born on July 15, 1980 in Lansing, the son of Landis Randolph Fields III and Annette (Armstrong) Fields. James attended Laingsburg and Haslett schools. On April 4, 2008 he married Jordan VanHorn in Monroe MI. He worked for Peckham Industries.

 James was one of a kind, the most wonderful husband and father. He had the biggest caring heart a person could have. He will live on in our hearts and memories through his boys, he will be very missed.

 He is survived by his wife, Jordan, five children, Spencer, Logan, Devin, Aydyn and Brysyn, brothers, Landis Randolph (Anna) Fields IV of CA, Michael Fields of Lansing and Dylan Fields of Laingsburg, mother Annette(Brian Copeland) Fields of Laingsburg grandmother Dorothy Johnson of Grand Ledge and aunts and uncles.
