STONE, George Junior – of Davison, age 77, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Brian’s House Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Pastor Thom VerWys officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday and 12-2 & 4-8 PM Friday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brian’s House Hospice.
George was born in Flint, MI on September 16, 1932, son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Trevorrow) Stone. He married Doreen Burns on October 19, 1963 and she preceded him in death on January 8, 2007. George retired from GM and also spent time as a barber. He attended Flint First Wesleyan Church and enjoyed spending time and playing cards with his friends at Holiday Shores in Durand. George loved spending time with his family.

George is survived by his son, Douglas (Vicki) Stone; grandsons, James and Douglas Jr.; sisters-in-law, Annabelle and Glenna Stone; special friends, Barbara and Gary Shock; many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Randolph and William Stone.
