WILSON, Shirley I., 71, of Midland, died Monday morning, March 15, 2010 at the MidMichigan Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1938 in Pine River, Minnesota, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Rokusek) Gerjets. She had worked for Western Union as a telographer, Martin-Marietta as a cryptologist, and retired from the K-Mart Corporation. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren. On July 1, 1960 she married James L. Wilson. He survives her along with their children, Cheryl Bapst, Daniel (Jennie) Wilson all of Missouri, Toby Wilson of Midland, and Patrick Wilson of Sanford; her sister, Alice (Sandy) Narum of California; five grandchildren, Chantell Smith, T.J. Wilson, Tawnie Wilson, Jordan Wilson, and Dannie Wilson. She was predeceased by two sisters, Alma and Betty, and by her brother, Don.

~Funeral Services~

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Father Nicholas Coffaro and Pastor James Shanks will officiate, with graveside burial rites in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.

~Visitation~
Mrs. Wilson’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
