SHELSKI, Rose Marie – of Flint, age 78, passed away March 17, 2010 at Melody Brookwood Home Care, Burton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday, March 22, 2010 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Rev. Fr. George Puthenpeedika celebrant. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 pm Saturday and Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

 Rose was born in Norfolk, VA on March 6, 1932, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Johnson) Cadenzer. She resided in the Flint area most of her life. Rose was a member of the East Side Senior Center and St. Leo’s 50 and Over Club. Rose was a member of Holy Rosary parish. She was very outgoing. Rose loved socializing and being with people.

Rose is survived by her children, Judy (Bruce) Sage, Steve (Tena) Shelski and Paula Reif; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her husband, Leon Shelski, preceded her in death. Rose’s family gives a special thank you to Emily and Victoria of the Melody Brookwood Home Care.
