
LURVEY, Michael George – of Kentwood, formerly of Flushing, age 38, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Grand Rapids. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing. Fr. William Wegher will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until time of the mass Tuesday at the church. Mike was born July 8, 1971 in Flint, MI, the son of Eldon and Georgann (Wolbert) Lurvey. He married Lesa M. Brady in Flushing on November 1, 1997. Mike was an Account Manager at OST in Grand Rapids. He was dearly loved by all. He was a fanatical golf enthusiast and a fantasy baseball and football enthusiast. He was an avid Michigan and Detroit Tigers fan. Mike is survived by: wife, Lesa and son, Bret, both of Kentwood; parents, Eldon and Georgann Lurvey of Flushing; brothers: Matthew and wife Sue Lurvey of Flushing, Ted and wife Michele Lurvey of Traverse City; parents-in-law, Joshua and Bonita Brady of Flint; brothers-in-law: Michael and wife Barb Brady of Rockford, T.J. Brady and Cory Brady, both of Jackson; nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and his English bulldog companion, Lulu. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a special pet, Lacee.
