WARSON, HOWARD LEMOINE, age 91 of Clio, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Genesys Hospice- Goodrich . The Funeral service will be 1:00PM Monday, March 29, 2010 at Hudson Funeral Service-Otisville. Pastor Justin Ringstaff and Pastor Don Garcia will be officiating. Burial to follow at Thetford Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 29, 2010 from 10AM to time of service at Hudson Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clio Seventh Day Adventist Building Fund at 303 S. Mill St., Clio, MI 48420, or the Frankenmuth Wood Carvers Guild, or a charity of one’s choice. Howard was born in Marion, MI on May 8, 1918 to Jess and Elsie (Byers) Warson. He married Lillan M. Waterous on June 2, 1946. He served in the Army during WWII and worked for Dee Cramer Heating and Cooling for 20 years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Clio. Howard and Lillan helped start the South Flint Seventh Day Adventist Church where they left many friends before moving to the Clio church. He was a professional wood carver and was a charter member of the Frankenmuth Wood Carvers Guild. He crafted the totem pole, bear, and nutcracker that are on display in Heritage Park in Frankenmuth. He was also a member of the DAV Wolverine State Chapter 33 and the Sheet Metal Workers International-Flint #533 & Lansing #7. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and the Detroit Tigers. He is survived by daughter-in-law: Carol (Ed) Medford; Granddaughter: Joy (Lewis) Row; sisters: Maxine Dunning of Flint and Ruth Ann (Charles) Fent of Birch Run; Cousins: Herb, George, and Tom Warson, Carol Therth, and Mable and Ida Trudgen; many nieces and nephews; special adopted son: Larry McPherson; Adopted grandchildren: Kristy, Jay, and Brad; Special Friends: Janie Eggers, Carrie, Karlie, Derek and Lindsay, Janette Hitchcock, Scott and Karen Coons, Debbie Gagnon, Connie Rivard, Betty, Wrege, and Debbie Vuillemot; his church family; and best friend, Snowball. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Lillan of 59 years; brothers: Bill, Charlie, Max, and Jessy Warson. Special Thanks to Genesys Home Hospice and the Care Center staff in Goodrich; longtime friend and doctor, Dr. Weinner; care manager, Dan Ogden and all of his home aides that helped him live at home. Also Dr. DyBall, Dr. Black, Dr. Pavone, Dr. Arnold and staff, and Dr. George Mohamedally who helped Howard to live a long and healthy life.
