Megan will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. Megan was born to Marti and Ron Lammy II, on January 30, 1985, in Flint, Michigan. As a young child Megan overcame a five-year battle with Leukemia and tremendous odds to pursue life to its fullest. Megan graduated from Flushing High School in 2003, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and an active participant in the theater department. A model student, Megan was admired for her tremendous work ethic and a strong desire to learn. Megan next turned her attention to college where she again left a mark of distinction, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University in 2008, with a BA in Theater Design. After college Megan struck out on her own by moving to Chicago to pursue her passion for the arts. Her passion quickly found her working for two of Chicago’s landmark theatres, the Goodman and the Davis. Despite the intense physical demands of battling a second bout with cancer Megan’s high spirits and love of life never wavered. She continued to pursue her dreams and enjoyed life in the big city. She attended theater shows, visited museums, and enjoyed time with her family watching movies and playing Wii video games. Though small in stature, Megan’s personality, courage, and charm were larger than life. She was in every sense of the word a miracle. Her kindness, radiance, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Megan is survived by her parents, Ron and Marti Lammy; brother, Ron Lammy III; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Eric Dahl; nephew, Evan Dahl; grandmother, Gloria Lammy and Emmett Glass; grandfather, Ron Lammy and Bev Cords; UB, AD and family; Aunt Tina, Uncle Joe and family; Aunt Kris, Art and family; best friend, Julie Locke; as well as many loving extended family members and friends.
