
LOWERY, Johnny R. – of Montrose, age 51, died Friday, March 26, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at Lamb of God Fellowship, 214 N. Saginaw St., Montrose. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Sunday from 1-4 and 5-7 p.m. and at the Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Johnny was born on October 20, 1958 in Trumann, Arkansas to the late Charles and Nina (Hancock) Lowery. He has lived in Montrose for most of his life. Johnny graduated from Hill-McCloy High School in 1977. He married Tammy Reynolds on August 25, 1979. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and building. He was a person who was always willing to help anyone in need. Johnny was very caring and easy going. He was a great husband, father, papa and brother who will be deeply missed. Surviving are: wife, Tammy; children, Jennifer (Jason) Larson of Midland, Amber Lowery of Montrose, Joshua Lowery (Crystal Holden) of Flushing; grandchildren, Dalanie, Jackson, Jocelyn and Johnathan; siblings, Charles (Alma) Lowery of Montrose, Leon (Nancy) Lowery of Florida, Maryann (Don) Shaw of California, Linda (Jimmy) Barnett of Arkansas, Roy (Patricia) Lowery of Flushing, Lester (Cheryl) Lowery of Montrose; several nieces and nephews.
