LELAND, Donald E., age 87 of Durand, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel with Rev. John Walworth officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm.

Mr. Leland was born on March 10, 1923 in Durand the son of Eugene and Gladys (Swan) Leland. He married Phyllis Tullar in Durand on May 18, 1946 and together raised 2 sons.

Mr. Leland was the owner and operator of Leland Pontiac Car Dealership in Durand for many years. He enjoyed doing crafts and loved boating and the water.

Mr. Leland is survived by his wife of 63 years, Phyllis; son, Tad (Delight) Leland of Ft. Myers, FL; 3 grandchildren: Luke, Adrianne, Keith; 1 great grandson, Gabe; sister, Linda (Bill) Russell.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chad, both parents and 3 brothers.
