TOPOLINSKI, F. Paul – Of Fenton, age 83, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Caretel Inns of Linden. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 North Adelaide Street, Father David Harvey officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Outreach or St. John’s Gift Campaign. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Knights of Columbus Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Topolinski will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass. Paul was born in Flint, Michigan on April 3, 1926, to John A. and Josephine (Doyle) Topolinski. He graduated from St. Michael’s High School in 1944 and then General Motors Institute. He lived most of his life in Fenton, and was self-employed as a tax accountant. He was a member and past president IIAM and the National Society of Public Accountants since 1952. Paul was active at St. Agnes Flint and then St. John’s Evangelist Church of Fenton. He was a Third & Fourth Degree Life time Knight of Columbus and a faithful usher at the 8:00 A.M. service. He was a World War II veteran, lifetime member of the Elks and a member of the Moose in Fenton. He was a loving Grandpa (Paw) to his grandchildren. Paul will be sadly missed by all of his family, friends and clients who loved him dearly. Surviving are wife, Mary Ellen (Hanley); sons, Paul (friend Chris), John (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Karen; grandchildren, Jamie (Evan), Jerry, Erin, Jonathan and Mario; great-grandchild, Mason. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean (Jack) Delaney and Joan (Andy) Andrews and sister-in-law, Dorothy. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry, in 2007; brothers, Donald and Leonard.
