DOWLESS, Lawrence R. Sr. “Randy” – of Mt. Morris, age 61, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 10 am Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Pastor Dwight Rottiers officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday.

Randy was born in King City, California on April 23, 1948, son of the late Lewis Dowless and Mozelle (Williamson) Collins. He worked as a Foreman for GM before retiring in 2001 after 33 years of service. Randy was an avid reader and loved hunting, fishing and singing.
Randy is survived by his sons, Lawrence Jr. and Lucas; daughter, Leasha (Adam) Lovern; grandchildren, Stephanie, Tricia, Tabbitha, Lawrence III, Jacob, Alison, Lance, Logan, Cole and Jayde; sisters, Janice (Glenn) Fielding and Kaye (Collins) Crawford; brothers, Mark (Maggie) Collins and Clay Collins; stepbrother, Jimmy Crossnoe; Mary and Scott Evans; stepmother, Mary Dowless; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. A special thanks to niece, Gloria (Crawford) Coats for her dedication to him. He was preceded in death by his stepdad, Cecil M. Collins Jr. The family would like to give a special thank you to his friends, other family members and those that helped him with his needs and joys.
