YBARRA, Placido – Age 101, of Flushing, died February 10, 2011 at Brian’s House in Davison. Mr. Ybarra was born in Texas on October 5, 1909, the son of the late Amador and Maria Ybarra. He retired from G. M. Plant 10 in 1971. He was especially dedicated to his family and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Also, Placido was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his children, Alphonso (Mary) Ybarra, Mary (Al) Brookshire, Richard (Anita) Ybarra, Reynoldo (Sharon Amy) Ybarra, Theresa (John) Cuddeback, Victoria Ybarra and John (Annie) Ybarra; 25 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Ida Ybarra; Son, Hilario Ybarra and brothers and sisters. Friends may visit the family Sunday 2-9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Rosary Sunday 7 p.m. In state Monday 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, G-2316 W. Coldwater, Flint until Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Rev. Tim Nelson officiating.
