ALLEN, Lawrence “Larry” – of Lapeer, age 76, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11 am February 19, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Nathan Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Dawn Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors under the auspices of Davison VFW Post # 4087. Visitation will be 11 am – 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 10 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family with checks payable to Shirley Allen.

Lawrence was born in Montrose, MI on July 18, 1934, son of the late Lee and Lucile (Miller) Allen. He married Shirley Ellen Taylor on November 7, 1953. Lawrence attended Faith Baptist Church in Elba, MI. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Linda Pincinsky, Matthew Miller, Terry Hazen, Larry Allen, Karolyn Habberashaw, Barbara Jean Gagnon, Paul Allen, Sue Ann Perna, Richard Allen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Jenny Moench, Donna Wiley, Daniel, Thomas and John Allen. He was preceded in death by siblings, Marjorie Inloes, Burton, Dale and Pete Allen.
