SHILLING, Jill – of Flint, age 61, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 after a short stay at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will take place at 11 AM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home – 239 E. Hickory St. in Montrose. Interment at Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-8 PM and Saturday from 10AM until time of service.

Jill was born January 25, 1950 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Hill – McCloy High School in Montrose in 1968. Reading was Jill’s favorite hobby. She also enjoyed bingo, board games, playing cards and family gatherings. Jill had a love for all children. She enjoyed spending time with her great nieces and nephews and telling stories of them. Holding a special place in Jill’s heart was her great nephew, Mikel and little Olivia who was like a granddaughter to her. She also had a love for people and made friends wherever she went. She was known to be generous to all who knew her.

Surviving are: Daughter, Nanette Shilling of Flint., Sisters: Zelda Smith of Flushing, Sue (Lee) Myers of North Branch, Brenda (Don) Batchelor of Waterford, Gloria (Ken) Walli of Grand Blanc and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Allen Shilling and Raymond Lawrence Shilling; Brother: John Calvin Harrison and parents: Zeldon (Bud) and Freda Harrison.
