McGRAW, Francis X., age 94, of Perry, MI, formerly of FL, passed away on Saturday morning, March 12, 2011 at the Olive Branch Assisted Care Facility in Perry.
Francis was born in Nutley, New Jersey, the son of Francis & Elena (Dominguez) McGraw on January 22, 1917. He married Katherine VanderGaag on April 20, 1940, she predeceased him on January 8, 2005. Francis was retired from General Motors where he worked as a salesman for United Delco. Francis enjoyed fishing, photography and traveling. He was on the school board of Manchester Regional High School in Haledon, NJ, an officer in the Republican Club of North Haledon, NJ, and a deacon and elder of the Second Reformed Church of Wyckoff.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Kathy McGraw of Perry, 4 grandchildren; Scott, Kristen, John and Katherine, many great grandchildren, sister Rose Lovell of PA and his brother Carlos LeClair of FL. He was predeceased by his wife, son John, and daughter Carol.
Funeral services will be held at the Perry Church of the Nazarene on Sunday March 20, 2011 at 3:00 PM. Pastor Timothy Harmon will officiate.
Frank McGraw will be truly missed by his family and friends as he went to be home with the Lord March 12, 2011. He was a sweet loving man that made his family feel loved and safe and his friends feel special. May the impact he has had on each one of our lives help us to be better people and hopefully share in his love of the Lord.
