RUSSETT Jr., Robert C. 66, of Bay City, died Wednesday morning, March 24, 2010 at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills. He was born December 31, 1943 in Bay City, son of the late Robert C. and Ella (Haske) Russett Sr. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1962-1964. Bob was the owner of R.C. Russett Electric Inc. and retired from General Motors as an electrician in 2007. He was a member of the American Legion Post #22 in Saginaw and was active in the United Commercial Travelers of America. His passions included bowling, traveling the U.S. and collecting many items and also his classic cars.

Bob is survived by June Lutz, one son Robert C. Russett III and his wife Donna, one daughter, Deborah Jenson and her husband Eric and two grandsons, Nicholas and Alex, one brother William Russett and his wife Connie and three sisters, Roberta Hofman and Talea Taylor and her husband Mark, all of Colorado Springs, Co. and Eleanor Russett of  Vassar. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Penny Russett, his aunts, Theresa Smith and Mary Jane Loehn of Bay City, many nieces and nephews, and his constant companions Lucy and Skeeter. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Russett and his great nephews, Gary Lee Stevens and Jesse Taylor.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 9940 Saginaw St. Reese. Pastor Jon Gougeon of the Reese United Methodist Church will officiate with committal services to follow in the Denmark Township Cemetery in Reese. Military honors will be presented by the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Russett’s family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Monday from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
