COOK, Arthur “Pack Rat”, age 72 of Durand, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Durand Church of the Nazarene, 9725 E. Monroe Rd. Durand, MI 48429 with Pastor Mike McCarty officiating. The family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service.

Mr. Cook was born on September 8, 1937 in Flint, Michigan the son of Arthur W. and Dora Jane (Luther) Cook. He married Sherry Brand in Flint in April of 1964 and together raised 6 children. Mrs. Cook passed on September 15, 2001.

Mr. Cook was an active supporter of the Shiawassee Humane Society and had worked many years for Cameron Tool in Lansing.

Mr. Cook is survived by his 6 children: Arthur McCayhill of TN, Donna (Greg) Hehn of Linden, Mary (Pat) Woodbury of FL, Joseph (Deb) Cook of Durand, Ronald (Vicki) Cook of Ohio, Michael (Judy) Cook of Lennon; special friend: Brenda Hildebrandt of Durand; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 sisters: Patricia, Marguerite, Therese, Deborah, Michelle;2 brothers: Randy, George and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry and both parents
