Farnham, Edna E. – of Clio, age 86, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Her celebration of life will be held at 11AM Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Clio. Pastor Roger Gedcke will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 5-9 PM. Edna will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Edna was born July 29, 1923 in Tennessee. She graduated from Royal Oak High School and married Edsel Farnham on August 30, 1944. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1996. Edna was employed as a medical clerk for Dr. Bruckner for over 30 years.

She was also formerly employed at the Beech Tree Restaurant as a hostess. Edna was a very active member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She served in numerous capacities at the church including lay leadership, altar committee, choir, piano player and the United Methodist Women’s activities. She had also directed The Last Supper portrayal at church and loved being involved in event planning and children’s activities. For Edna, her church was her life and her family. She was also a former member of the Clio Cast and Crew. Edna was also a regular at the Clio Big Boy and enjoyed her 9:00 morning coffee and the fellowship of her friends at the restaurant.
