BRAYANIS, Theodoros – Of Davison, age 78, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton, Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating. Theodoros was born in Bouf, Macedonia, Greece on February 20, 1931, the son of Trian and Aspasia Brayanis. He had a strong heart for everyone. He served in the military in Greece. In 1951 he married Thomai Angeledis and came to Flint on July 21, 1966. Since coming to the United States in 1966, he has returned to visit his homeland three times. Mr. Brayanis loved his garden and watching his favorite team play hockey (Detroit Red Wings). He will be missed, but never forgotten, for which he is in Heaven with Our Lord Jesus Christ. Mr. Brayanis was Co-owner of Genesee Coney Island for several years. Surviving are wife, Thomai of Davison; brother, Alex (Anastasia) Branoff of Grand Blanc and Stefan Branov of Czech Republic; special cousin, Thomas Branoff of Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George and Risto; sister, Anastasia Sfetkides. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in memory of Theodoros Brayanis. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Brayanis will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
