
McLAIN, Florence A. – Of Maple Valley, MI formerly of Clio age 86, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at West Branch Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 1-3 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road. Memorial contributions may be directed toward the family. Florence was born on June 21, 1924 in Flint, MI the daughter of the late Irvine and Lucille (Sears) Curtis. She married Maurice V. “Mac” McLain on March 28, 1942, and he preceded her in death after 58 years of marriage. Florence loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful baker, loved gardening and watching the hummingbirds on her porch. She was known for her warm loving heart and gentle touch. She will be missed tremendously. She is survived by three daughters, Marie (Paul) Sirella of Crescent City, CA, Linda (John) Eddy Jr. of Maple Valley, Denean (Rick) Lamb of Clio; sons, Morry (Bobbi) McLain of Houghton Lake, Jerry (Barb) McLain of Tampa, FL, Rod McLain of Maple Valley; 11 grandchildren, Brent (Renee) Wright, Diahn Conticello, David (Brande) Eddy, Darlene (Dan Lauzon) Sensor, Steven Eddy, Chad Lamb, Ryan (Carly) Lamb, Codie (Gary) Gilliam, Brad (Charlotte) McLain, Michelle (Chris) Anderson, Scott (Michelle) McLain; great-grandchildren, Mitchel, Anthony, Marie, Christopher, Logan, Carter, Jordan, Sophie, Ella, Adysen, Steve, Jessica, Samantha, Sherry, Cecelia, Kaitlin, Ansley; six sisters, Marion Frederick, Doris (Leo) Atchison, Nancy Powell, Charlotte Daniels, Linda (Fred) Sterns, Sharon (Charles) Tusciuk. Florence was also preceded in death by four sisters, and five brothers.
