RUSSETT Jr., Robert C. 66, of Bay City, died Wednesday morning, March 24, 2010 at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills. He was born December 31, 1943 in Bay City, son of the late Robert C. and Ella (Haske) Russett Sr. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1962-1964. Bob was the owner of R.C. Russett Electric Inc. and retired from General Motors as an electrician in 2007. He was a member of the American Legion Post #22 in Saginaw and was active in the United Commercial Travelers of America. His passions included bowling, traveling the U.S. and collecting many items and also his classic cars.

Bob is survived by June Lutz, one son Robert C. Russett III and his wife Donna, one daughter, Deborah Jenson and her husband Eric and two grandsons, Nicholas and Alex, one brother William Russett and his wife Connie and three sisters, Roberta Hofman and Talea Taylor and her husband Mark, all of Colorado Springs, Co. and Eleanor Russett of  Vassar. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Penny Russett, his aunts, Theresa Smith and Mary Jane Loehn of Bay City, many nieces and nephews, and his constant companions Lucy and Skeeter. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Russett and his great nephews, Gary Lee Stevens and Jesse Taylor.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 9940 Saginaw St. Reese. Pastor Jon Gougeon of the Reese United Methodist Church will officiate with committal services to follow in the Denmark Township Cemetery in Reese. Military honors will be presented by the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Russett’s family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Monday from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services. LOWERY, Johnny R. – of Montrose, age 51, died Friday, March 26, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at Lamb of God Fellowship, 214 N. Saginaw St., Montrose. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Sunday from 1-4 and 5-7 p.m. and at the Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Johnny was born on October 20, 1958 in Trumann, Arkansas to the late Charles and Nina (Hancock) Lowery. He has lived in Montrose for most of his life. Johnny graduated from Hill-McCloy High School in 1977. He married Tammy Reynolds on August 25, 1979. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and building. He was a person who was always willing to help anyone in need. Johnny was very caring and easy going. He was a great husband, father, papa and brother who will be deeply missed. LAMMY, Megan Lindsey – Age 25, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, peacefully passed away on March, 27, 2010, after a second courageous fight with cancer. Her final days were spent at her parents’ home in Flushing surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at New Life Community Lutheran Church, 7235 Torrey Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor Bradley J. Yops officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 28 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Megan will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. Megan was born to Marti and Ron Lammy II, on January 30, 1985, in Flint, Michigan. As a young child Megan overcame a five-year battle with Leukemia and tremendous odds to pursue life to its fullest. Megan graduated from Flushing High School in 2003, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and an active participant in the theater department. A model student, Megan was admired for her tremendous work ethic and a strong desire to learn. Megan next turned her attention to college where she again left a mark of distinction, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University in 2008, with a BA in Theater Design. After college Megan struck out on her own by moving to Chicago to pursue her passion for the arts. Her passion quickly found her working for two of Chicago’s landmark theatres, the Goodman and the Davis. Despite the intense physical demands of battling a second bout with cancer Megan’s high spirits and love of life never wavered. She continued to pursue her dreams and enjoyed life in the big city. She attended theater shows, visited museums, and enjoyed time with her family watching movies and playing Wii video games. Though small in stature, Megan’s personality, courage, and charm were larger than life. She was in every sense of the word a miracle. Her kindness, radiance, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Megan is survived by her parents, Ron and Marti Lammy; brother, Ron Lammy III; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Eric Dahl; nephew, Evan Dahl; grandmother, Gloria Lammy and Emmett Glass; grandfather, Ron Lammy and Bev Cords; UB, AD and family; Aunt Tina, Uncle Joe and family; Aunt Kris, Art and family; best friend, Julie Locke; as well as many loving extended family members and friends. Megan was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Walter and Felicia Kudla; her uncle, Jimmy Kudla; her dear friend, Nick Schaufelberger; and her beloved dog, Cody. Megan was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece, and cousin, and was a good friend to many. KILLINGBECK, Linnea G. “Lin” (Davis) 63, of Flint and former Midland resident, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, March 25, 2010, at home from an apparent heart condition. She was born January 14, 1947 in Midland, daughter of Shirley Ruby Davis and the late Paul W. Davis. Lin was a Customer Service Representative for Farmers Insurance in Waterford for many years retiring from there in 2007. She had many interests including having a booth at the Dixie Land flea market. She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Joel) Jeffries of Davison; one grandson, Nolan Jeffries; her mother, two brothers, and three sisters. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday March 31, 2010 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler Street, Midland. Ruth was born in Paducah, KY on June 18, 1922 daughter of the late Benjamin and Carrie (Boyd) Carter. She married Roland Kammer on December 7, 1946 in Anchorville, MI. Ruth and her family joined Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church in 1958, where she was also a member of the Women of the ELCA. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed being on her farm and sewing. DILLER, Gloria L. age 83 of Durand passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 700 E. Columbia Dr. Durand, MI 48429. Msgr. Steven J. Raica will be officiating. Mrs. Diller was born on September 6, 1926 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Ralph and Bertha (Seeley) Hitchings. On September 22, 1950 she married John Diller in Durand and together raised 4 children. Mr. Diller passed on December 14, 2009.

Mrs. Diller was a Bus Driver for Durand Area Schools for 19 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Durand where she served on the Altar Society. She was also a Durand District Library Board Member.

Mrs. Diller is survived by 2 sons: Bradley (Marcee) Diller of Casper, WY, Brian (Michelle) Diller of Broomfield, CO; 2 daughters: Jacquelyne Baumchen of St. Johns, Nina Schubert of Fort Lupton, CO; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Janet Hitchings of CA, Judy (Donald) Hanning of AZ, Pat Hitchings of CA; 1 brother, Hal Hitchings of PA.

Evan was born in Flint on March 23, 1995, the son of Casey and Carissa (Clark) Anger. He was a Freshman at Davison High School. Evan enjoyed spending time playing on his computer, playing video games and, hanging out with his family and friends. He also liked classic cars and fireworks. Evan was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He loved to play pranks on his loved ones and friends!
