The family of Carl L. Buck is saddened to announce his death, which occurred on Tuesday February 23, 2010 at the age of 90. He was born on April 7, 1919 in Bennington Township, the son of John and Lucinda Buck. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Russell), sister (Hazel) and wife of 58 years (Ruth). Carl served in the Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired as Plant Manager of Clark Engineering after thirty years of service. He was also the former President of the National Toy Fox Terrier Association.

Carl is survived by his son, John(Connie) Buck of Owosso; daughter, Peggy Buck of Perry; grandchildren, Brad (Dawn) Pagratis; and two great grandchildren, Erika Lou and Alec Buck. We would like to express our gratitude to his caregivers at Clare Bridge of Meridian for their kind and compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry on Friday February 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Les Kephart officiating with Pastor Ray Sundell assisting. Interment will follow at Oak Plains Cemetery in Shaftsburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  BARKER, William “Bud” – Of Flint, age 74, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.

 Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Great Lakes Baptist Temple, 2112 East Maple Avenue, Flint, Pastor David Chittenden officiating. Cremation has already taken place.

 Those desiring may make contributions to the family or Great Lakes Baptist Temple. Visitation 12 noon Thursday until the time of the service at the church.

 William was born in Flint, Michigan on March 23, 1935, the son of the late William A. and Ida (Reynolds) Barker. He married Susie Wollard in Flint.

 He was a member of Great Lakes Baptist Temple. He loved bird watching, pike fishing and hunting.

 Surviving are daughters, Penny and husband Joseph Alick, Wendy Barker and fiance’ Samuel Culhane and daughter, Rosemary; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia and husband Jack Williams; many nieces, nephews and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie and son, William Stormy Barker.
