Randy was born on July 11, 1966 in Flint to Frederick “Glen” and Linda (Kingsbury) Snellenberger. He married Karen Moss on June 28, 2003 in Chesaning and they lived in St. Clair Shores the past 6 ½ years. He was employed at NHK in Wixom for over 5 years. Randy loved drag racing and computer games.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Teresa Peterson will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Tuesday. Gary was born May 17, 1946 in Flint, MI, the son of Roy V. and Ruth (Hunt) Nickel. He married J. Annette Ritchings in Flushing on August 23, 1969. Gary was a lifelong Flushing resident and builder. He helped to inspire the Movies in the Park. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. Gary was a former member of the Flushing Jaycees and a member of the Flushing Frozen Forty. He was a sailor and raced sailboats. Gary is survived by: wife, Annette; two children, Christopher Nickel and special friend, Marcy Bork, Sara and husband Chris Anderson; granddaughter, Emma Kate Anderson; brother, Douglas and wife Colleen Nickel; sister, Debra and husband Gary Sanborn; several adored nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

of heart failure at Heartland Health Care Center in Ann Arbor. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, February 26, 2010 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 East Fifth Avenue, Flint, Father Santiago Arockiyasamy officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic in Marc’s memory. Visitation 12-3pm and 5-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mr. Maddrie will be at the church 10:30am Friday until the time of the Mass.
Marc was born in Flint on September 17, 1961, and lived in Flint his entire life, but spent much time over the last year at Cleveland Clinic and later, Grace Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. The family is grateful to all those institutions. Marc was an instrumental music teacher in the Flint Public Schools. He taught in several elementary and middle schools in Flint. He was also the Principal Timpanist of the Midland, Saginaw Bay and Pontiac Symphony Orchestras and a proud member of the Saginaw Eddy Band. He occasionally substituted with the Flint Symphony. He attended Interlochen and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camps in high school and was a member of the Flint Elementary and Junior Symphonies as well as the Michigan Youth Symphony and Michigan Youth Band. He loved music and was dedicated to making music a part of children’s lives. In one of his last conversations, he remarked that “Some adults don’t appreciate music and art, but sometimes the arts are the only thing kids relate to.” He was determined to keep the arts accessible to inner city public school students, and literally put his heart into it. He had a Bachelor’s in music, music education from Michigan State University and a Master’s in music, music education from Oakland University. He had graduate credits from U of M, did post-graduate work at Marygrove, and had begun work on a doctorate in music education at Boston University.
Surviving are sisters, Marja of Rockville, Maryland, Leah of New York City; as well as students, teachers, fellow musicians and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Darlene Maddrie.

Nancy was born in Owosso, MI on August 31, 1931, the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Turner) Schaar. Nancy was a graduate of Owosso High School. She had a passion for animals, she lived for making their lives better. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are son, Jason and wife Kerri Lyon and their daughters, Monica and Marisa Lyon; Daughter, Susan B. Lyon and her children Jessica, Stuart, Elizabeth and Josef Lantz; daughter, Nancy A. Lyon; in-laws, Shirley and husband Mike McBride, Joyce Lyon, Dee (John) Mills; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Maitlin Schaar and Jack Schaar and best friend and sister, Jeri Schaar.

Evelyn was born in Flint on May 10, to the late Nicklas and Juliah (Dennis) Bodis. She married John C. Leineke in Flint on February 14, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a resident of Clio most of her life. Mrs. Leineke worked at AC in the early 1950’s and Redmonds in Owosso in the early 1960’s. She was a member of Calvary Community Church in Flint. She loved reading the newspapers.

Ardath was born in Genesee, Michigan on February 8, 1929, daughter of the late Herman and Ethel (Magle) Koon. On December 7, 1946, she married R.G. Kelsey. Ardath was employed for 20 years as an accountant for A.C. in Flint. Ardath enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting, decorating and fishing on the Ausable River.

Monday, February 22nd, 2010HAYNES, Mary Jean (Midge) born February 1, 1939 in Dimondale, MI, the youngest daughter of Edward J. and Onda G. Freese, passed away February 21, 2010 in Mt. Pleasant, MI following a courageous battle with cancer.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Midge is survived hy her husband, Ray E. Haynes of Farwell, son Robert (Lynn) Spalding, Jr. of Perry, and their sons, Marshall and Michael , Jon (Diane) Spalding of Perry and their children Jenna, Ryan (Margaret) and Jordan Spalding, Tod (Brenda) Spalding of Bluffton, SC and their children, Justin and Trish Hubbard, and daughter, Pam Spalding of Clare.
Predeceased by her parents and sister, Harriett Pincumbe, Midge is also survived by her sister, Patricia Sebrell of Charlotte as well as many nieces and nephews.
Midge is also survived by Ray’s children, Kathy Wudyka of Barryton and her children and grandchildren, Jeff (Shelly) Haynes and his children of Lake Station and Julie Kappelar and her daughter of Midland.
Midge was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, working her way up from Customer Service Representative to retiring as Group Account Sales Executive in 1999.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and 1 hour immediately preceding the service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 24th at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry at 1:00 PM.

Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with a military service under the auspices of VFW Post #3087. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation 4-8pm Tuesday and 12-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Fenlon will be at the church 10am Thursday until the time of the Mass.
James was born In Gaastra, MI on July 28, 1922. He was a graduate of Stambaugh High School, Class of 1940. James then went to C.C. Camp and later joined the US Army in 1942 where he served until 1946. He moved to Flint in 1947 where he started working for General Motors. In 1948, he began working for F.J. Boutell Car Carrier where he remained until his retirement in 1986. James married Arawana (Suzie) May (Fetting) on June 17, 1950, and they were married for 41 years. James enjoyed buying new cars and going back to visit his family in Upper Michigan. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post #3087 in Flint and the Fenton Eagles.

Connie was born in Detroit, MI on October 13, 1938, daughter of the late Vincent and Wanda (Kolbicz) Kusz. On November 28, 1958, she married Donald Brown and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1991. On December 28, 1992 she married Joseph Brown and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2003. Connie was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Davison and a former member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She loved golfing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are sons, Michael and wife Lynn Brown of Flint, Mark and wife Sue Brown of Sanford, Matt and wife Ann Brown of St. Clair Shores; step-children, Margie and husband Brian Bonner, Tom and wife Kathy Brown, all of Florida, Sue Norfleet of Flushing; 14 grandchildren; Brother, Donald and wife Martha Kusz;
