Sunday, February 21st, 2010WEAVER, Raymond – of Birch Run, went to be with the Lord, died Friday, February 19, 2010 at his residence. He was 74 years of age.
Ray was born January 25, 1936 in Climax, MI to the late Wintworth and Bernice (Melan) Weaver. He married Carolyn Wolkens on September 11, 1954 at Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Weaver retired from General Motors in 1985 with 30 years seniority. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport.
Surviving are: wife, Carolyn; 4 children, Randy Weaver of Muskegon, Gary (Rebecca) Weaver of Birch Run, Joyce (Bill) Shoup of FL, Sandra (Philip) Chernich of Saginaw; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Weaver; sister, Marion Winders; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, Pastor Lou Jurva officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM, and on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until time of services. Contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice.
