Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Carl R. Cooke officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastwood United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Dorothy was born in Flint, Michigan on June 19, 1914, the daughter of the late Henry and Louise Schroeder and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. She married Robert C. Lynn on November 9, 1935. She was a charter member of Eastwood United Methodist Church. Surviving are two children, Richard and wife Ellen of Burton and Karen S. McIntosh of East Peoria, Illinois; six grandchildren, Tara, Stephanie, Heather, Michelle, Scott and Anthony; five great-grandsons; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1981 and brother, Wilford G. Schroeder.

Bill was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on July 8, 1939. He married Dixie VanArsdale on November 8, 1958. Mr. Kopp retired after 47 years working at Hamady Brothers, Kessel and Kroger. Surviving are wife, Dixie (Sue); son, Blane J. and wife Dawn; daughter, Diana and husband Steve Brock; seven grandsons, Steven, Christopher, Robert, Jordan, Nathanael, Nehemiah and Micah; four step-grandchildren, Justin, Daniel, Chloe and Katie; sister, Joyce Trowbridge; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Dale; his parents, Bill and Helen Kopp and brother, Wayne Kopp.

Lois was born in Missouri, the daughter of William and Jessie (Lett) Walker. She married Steve Czarney in September, 1939 in Missouri.
Surviving are two children, Connie Stark of Flint, Ronnie and wife Rebecca of Port Orange, Florida; three grandchildren, Scott “Tony” Stark, Chad Czarney and Corrina Czarney; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve.

Delores was born in Flint, Michigan on April 15, 1927, the daughter of Russell and Gladys Smith. She was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 30 years, retiring in 1980. Surviving are three children, Michael and wife Leann Phillips of Grand Blanc, Thomas Phillips of North Carolina, Kathryn and husband Eugene Lozano of California; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Duby of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Struble; twin sister, Donna Arter and brother, George Smith.

Charles was born in Flint, Michigan on May 24, 1954, the son of the late Basil and Lucille (Katzur) Barker. Mr. Barker was employed by General Motors for approximately 30 years. Surviving are wife, Susan; children, Michelle and husband Mark Pierro, Charles Barker, Jennifer and husband Jeremy Gilbert, David Jarema, Beth and husband Patrick Cavanaugh; five grandchildren, Matthew, Blake, Madison, Gabriella and Lucinda; sisters and brother, Sue Foley, Ron and wife Jill Barker, JoAnn and husband Thomas Basel; several nieces, nephews and many good friends.

Peter was born in Flint on October 14, 1920 and had been a resident of Flint all of his life. He served in the US Army during World War II. On September 10, 1946, he married Eileen Cohee. Peter was employed as a mechanic with Victor George as well as at Schaffer Bakery and GM SPO. Peter was a devoted family man who worked very hard but always put his family first. We will always remember his love and kindness.
Surviving are wife, Eileen; Son, Thomas of Davison; Daughter, Salle and husband Jerry Gean of Swartz Creek; 2 sisters, Kathleen Glazar and Dorothy Brandon; Brother, Don and wife Dorian Meints; Many nieces and nephews.

Salim was born in Palestine on January 12, 1937. He was a member of St. George Orthodox Church. Mr. Gantous retired in 1998 from GM Chevrolet East Plant after 27 years of service.

Julie was born in Flint on June 28, 1964 to Robert and Nancy (Melanson) Reeves and lived in the Flint area her entire life. She was a graduate of Flushing High School. Julie married James Murphy on October 7, 1989. Julie was very active with the Montrose Food Pantry at Christian Faith Church. She enjoyed woodworking and made many gifts for her family.

Harold was born in Flint, Michigan on November 6, 1945, the son of George and Jeanette Kurtz. He retired from GM after 36.2 years and a veteran of 10 ½ years in the Armed Forces.
Surviving are one sister, Nanette; one brother, Dan; nephew, John; special friends, Sue Nadell and Sherry Legue.
He will be missed by all his friends.

Hazel was born in Goodrich, Michigan on September 27, 1913, the daughter of Ernest and Mary Zubke and was a resident of Grand Blanc all of her life. Mrs. Kemp was employed for 21 years at AC Spark Plug Division.
Surviving are four children, W. Richard Wilcox and wife Ramona, Sandra and husband Lou Anderson, Ronnie C. Wilcox and wife Rosemary and Karon Saumier; four grandchildren, Wayne and wife Dorothy Wilcox, Whitney and husband, Patrick Jensen, Lexy Anderson and Megan Latimer; five great-grandchildren, Alexander and Meredith Wilcox, Austa and Patrick James Jensen and Elizabeth (Libby) Latimer.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ernest, 2 daughters, Betty Lou Wilcox and Bonnie Stone, two brothers, Ralph and Bill, two sisters, Marion and Anna Mae, grandson, David Wilcox and great-grandson, Thomas Wilcox.

Bill was born October 11, 1919 in Kentucky to the late George and Dicie (Milligan) Fairchild. He was a resident of Clio since 1981. He married Myrtle McGhee on October 13, 1951. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2001. Mr. Fairchild served in the US Army during WW II. He retired from General Motors as a millwright with 29 years seniority. Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are: son, Michael (Rita) Fairchild of Downers Grove, IL; daughter, Barbara (Bill) Pierrakeas of Geneva, IL; 5 grandchildren, Michelle (Jim) Nelson, Mitchell Fairchild, Terese (Ted) Weglarz, Brian (Maria) Fairchild, Maurean Brandt; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Eudella Dawes of IN; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
