MORGAN, Thomas G. – 62

MORGAN, Thomas G. – age 62, of Davison, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011. He was born January 28, 1949 to Francis Harrison and Gertrude Mary (Montgomery) Morgan. Thomas graduated from Davison High School and worked for GM Flint Engine South for 43 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Thomas loved classic rock music, the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. His summers were spent mowing the lawn and swimming in the pool. Thomas was known for his great sense of humor. He was a member of UAW Local 659. Thomas married Janet LaFave on December 30, 1985. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly and remembered forever.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Janet; children, Gina Danko of White Lake, Ellen Morgan of Houghton Lake, Amanda Morgan of Davison and Thomas Morgan of Davison; grandson, Brian Morgan; siblings, David (Beth) Morgan, Nancy (Ted) Turnwald, Lynda (Ed) Pethers, Marion (Jim) Arnold, Marilyn (Ray) Fournier, John (Carol) Morgan and Dennis Morgan; many nieces and nephews. He was welcomed home by his parents and brothers, Joseph and Michael Morgan.
The family welcomes you to share your memories of Thomas on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 12 pm Friday, March 4, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski presiding. DOWDY, Ricky O. — age 62, of Gaines, died March 2, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services will be 12 Noon Monday, March 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation 6-8 PM Saturday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday. Interment 2 PM Monday in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Ann Arbor VA Hospital. Mr. Dowdy was born February 19, 1949 in Flint the son of Dean and Dephane Dorothy (Moench) Dowdy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He retired from Simplicity Engineering in Durand. He was active in 4-H for many years, and a flag boy for the Genesee County Sheriff’s Posse. Surviving are: wife Sharon; five children, Chris Gallaher, Christy Davis, Sara Cabuag, Deanna Godfrey, Jonathon Dowdy; eight grandchildren; brother Bradley; sister Sandee Sproul. DELECKI, Linda – Of Burton, age 71, died Sunday, February 27, 2011. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation 12-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Linda was born in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mary and Burell Scott. Surviving are son, David and wife Kim of Hohenwald, Tennessee and Douglas of Mt. Morris; two grandsons, David, Jr. and wife Anissa of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Douglas, Jr. and wife Michelle of Davison; one brother, Clyde Scott of Flushing; sister, Roberta Hinerman of Worthington, West Virginia; many nieces and nephews; many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; two daughters, Debbie and Darla; one son, Paul; one grandson, John Paul; three sisters, Patty, Donna and Delores.

BRUNING, Carlyle – 80

BRUNING, Carlyle “Carl” Edward 80, of Midland, died Monday morning, February 28, 2011 at North Woods Nursing Center, Farwell. He was born November 15, 1930, son of the late Theodore and Dorothy (Slaght) Bruning in Rogers City where he was raised and educated. Carl had worked for Chrysler, then served in the United States Army from 1951-53. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. On November 24, 1956, he married Patricia Pontious in Huron County. She predeceased him November 17, 1998. Carl had worked for The Dow Chemical Company as a computer programmer, retiring in 1985.
He is survived by his children Daniel Paul (Robin) Bruning of Ft. Wayne, IN, David Theodore (Teri) Bruning of Bay City, Sandra Lee (Donald) Bonem of Midland, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, son-in-law Kevin Bricker of Medina, OH, and his sister Ida Leslie of Rochester. He was predeceased by his daughter Diane Renee Bricker, brothers Don and Renwood, and his half-brother Howard Wright.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Created for Caring in Bay City. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors.

BELILL, Marion L. – 91

BELILL, Marion L. – of Birch Run, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Covenant Medical Center. She was 91 years of age.
Marion was born April 1, 1919 in Saginaw to the late Julian and Ida (Foster) Levan and resided in Birch Run area most of her life. She married Morris Belill on May 15, 1941. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1971. Marion was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Legion of Mary Altar Society and the League of Catholic Women.
Surviving are: children, Roger (Joyce) Belill of Birch Run, Tom Belill of Saginaw, John (Ann) Belill of Birch Run, Bob (Karen) Belill, Dick (Lucy) Belill of Birch Run, Mary Ann (Mike) Loynes of Flint, Patti (Tom) Dorr of Birch Run; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela in 1957; son, Timothy in 2008; daughter-in-law, Kay Belill in 2010; and a great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Clore.
Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Birch Run. Rev. Fr. John Sarge officiating. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 1-8PM where a Vigil service will be held at 7 PM. Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Fragile X Syndrome Foundation. ROSEBROCK, Donald J. – of Birch Run, died Monday, February 28, 2011 at Covenant Medical Center. He was 67 years of age.
Don was born May 20, 1943 in Bay City to the late Alfred and Alta (Shilton) Rosebrock. He resided in Birch Run since 1979. He married Sharon Kranick on October 10, 1964. Mr. Rosebrock retired from Saginaw Gray Iron in 1989. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and held many positions at the church. He was also a member of the UAW. Don was formerly a Cub Master and was active in Boy Scouts for many years.
Surviving are: wife, Sharon; children, Darren (Paula) Rosebrock of Coleman, Donna Rosebrock of Saginaw; 2 grandchildren who were raised as his children, Julie Rosebrock of Saginaw, Joe Rosebrock of Birch Run; great-grandchild, Emma Rosebrock of Saginaw; brothers and sister, Alfred (Muriel) Rosebrock of Saginaw, John Rosebrock of Bridgeport, JoAnn Letzkus of Midland; sister-in-law Patricia Rosebrock; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Irma Reese; brother, Franklin Rosebrock; sister-in-law Joann Rosebrock; brother-in-law, Edward Letzkus.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, March 4, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church, 8101 Poellet Rd., Birch Run. Rev. Dr. Richard Hillenbrand officiating. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Wednesday from 6-8PM, and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM.
