Thursday, February 17th, 2011FRANKLIN, Charles “Chuck” M. – age 60, of Flint, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his residence. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Glenn Snider officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation. Chuck was born October 14, 1950 in Flint, the son of Dewey Melbourne Franklin and Rosalee Woolard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Chuck married Mary McAfee on October 11, 1997. He was a chauffeur and salesman and loved to cook and fish. Surviving are: wife, Mary; daughter, Rebecca Franklin; stepchildren, John (Leanne) Vamossy, Steve (Judy) Vamossy, Paul (Dawn)Vamossy, Vicky (Blair) Kenwell; three grandchildren; sisters, Pat Sexton and Sherri Downie; two nieces, Amy McGeachy and Melissa Lacy; two nephews, Adam Brophy and Joey Albrant. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Genesys Hospital 4th floor and ICU.
